Maastricht and the Euregion Meuse-Rhine, 1-7 July 2012, “Sustainability in Cross-Border Partnership”

Registration is closed!

“Caretakers of the Environment International/Maastricht Chapter cordially invites you into this unique and historical region. A border region where the three countries Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands meet, between the two rivers Maas and Rhine, is taking us away from Traditional Industry towards Creativity and Sustainability. In a place where historical borders are fading, You will get the opportunity to visit and study many examples of how both economic and social sustainability can go hand in hand with cultural crosstown partnerships and cross- border co-operation in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). In an effort to archieve this, amongst many other initiatives, the city of Maastricht and its Euregional partners are preparing a bidbook to become the European Cultural Capital of 2018.”

The CEI2012 Conference calls for projects of secondary school students and their educators, who think Globally about Environmental issues and who act locally by initiating Environmental and Community projects, inside and outside the classroom, to apply for registration.
